Free Parking is available immediately to the south of Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre with overflow parking across 400 South, in the Rice-Eccles Stadium lot.

 

Post Performance Discussions with the cast take place following the second Saturday Matinee performance.

 

The Loge Gallery is open during the run of each show. Visitors to Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre can view fine art exhibitions by some of Utah's best artists.

 

Sensitivity ratings and script checkout -- most Pioneer Theatre Company productions are appropriate for all audiences. If you are unsure whether the language and subject matter of a play are appropriate for children or other guests, please feel free to call the box office at (801) 581-6961. The box office will be happy to answer any questions you may have about upcoming productions. You may also peruse a script before seeing the production. A limited number of scripts are available for check out on a first come/first served basis. You may also read our Content Advisory for detailed show information.

 

Accessibility -- Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre is accessible to persons with disabilities. If you need special seating or help, please note it on your order form.

 

Hearing aids -- PTC is pleased to provide a hearing enhancement system. Receivers can be picked up from the box office or concession stand on a first-come/first-served basis.

 

Gift Certificates are available in any amount and may be redeemed for tickets to any performance. Gift certificates are good for one year from date of purchase (subject to seating availability).

 


Pioneer Theatre Policies

 

Ticket Exchanges -- Subscribers and Pass Holders may exchange their tickets for another performance of the same play by returning their tickets to the box office at least 48 hours prior to the performance date. Tickets are non-refundable. Single Ticket Holders may exchange your tickets for for another performance of the same play by returning their tickets to the box office at least 48 hours prior to the performance date and paying a $3.00 per ticket fee.

 

Ticket Donations -- You may donate your tickets, helping yourself and Pioneer Theatre Company. If you are unable to attend a production, make a tax-deductible gift of your tickets so that we may re-sell them. Call the box office prior to the performance.

 

Children under five years of age are not permitted in the theatre.

 

Please turn off all electronics -- Wrist watch alarms and cellular phones must be turned off (not simply set to "vibrate" or "silent") in the theatre. Even if silent, cellular phones can interfere with our wireless equipment. If you might be paged or need to be reached during a performance, please leave your exact seat location with the box office. The number for emergency calls is 581-6963.

 

Recorders and cameras are not allowed at any performance.

 

Smoking is not allowed in any University building.

 

Evening performances begin promptly at 7:30 p.m. Monday - Thursday, and at 8:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Saturday matinees begin at 2:00 p.m. Please avoid arriving after curtain time. To avoid disturbing other patrons, latecomers will not be seated until a scene or act change, and may not be seated in their assigned seats until intermission. This policy has been instituted at the request of many of our patrons.
