Happy Opening Night to the extraordinary Bright Star company!
It has been a crazy week with the arrival of the cast and crew of Bright Star. The show started loading into our theatre on Sunday morning at 7 a.m., and after working 12-hour days the set was up by Tuesday and lighting focused by Wednesday morning. It’s very different world from our two-and-a-half-week load in and technical process. Nonetheless, it was exciting and the show looks phenomenal!
At the preview last night, the audience jumped to their feet with the start of the curtain call and cheered throughout. Since it is the last time Carmen Cusack will be starring in this role, it is a performance not to be missed.
As for me, I’m off to New York on Sunday—six meetings, five shows to see, four days of auditions, and a partridge in a pear tree! I will give you a full report when I get back!
