PIONEER THEATRE COMPANY TICKETS GO ON SALE FOR
The Producers
And the Rest of the 2007-2008 SEASON

Tickets for each of the six remaining shows of Pioneer Theatre Company’s 2007-2008 Season, including the smash Broadway hit Mel Brooks musical The Producers, will go on sale Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. Patrons may also purchase tickets to the rest of the 2007 – 2008 Season, which includes: the Pulitzer Prize winning mystery Doubt by John Patrick Shanley which runs November 2 – November 17, 2007; the side-splitting comedy The Foreigner by Larry Shue, running December 7 – December 22, 2007; the electrifying drama The Vertical Hour – fresh off Broadway –  by one of England’s most prominent playwrights David Hare, running January 11 – January 26, 2008; everyone’s favorite Shakespearean comedy, the enchanting A Midsummer Night’s Dream, running February 15 – March 1, 2008; and the classic romantic drama The Heiress by Ruth and Augustus Goetz, based on the Henry James novel Washington Square, which runs March 14 – March 29, 2008. Mel Brooks’ The Producers, which won more Tony Awards than any other musical in Broadway history, runs from April 25 to May 10, 2008.

“Before October 17, the only way to get tickets to these shows was by purchasing season tickets,” noted PTC Managing Director Chris Lino. “The good news for us is that over 8,000 patrons did purchase season tickets – but that means that over half of our tickets for all performances are already gone. People who want seats for The Producers, The Foreigner, or any of our remaining shows should order as soon as possible.”

Patrons can purchase tickets through the Pioneer Theatre Box Office located in the Roy W. and Elizabeth E. Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre, at 300 South and 1400 East on the University of Utah Campus, by calling 801-581-6961, or through the PTC website at www.pioneertheatre.org. The box office hours are 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and Monday through Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. during the run of a show.

Individual ticket prices range from $21.00 to $49.00, and parents may purchase half-price tickets for children K-12 for all Monday and Tuesday performances. Group discounts are also available.
