Vertical Earth: Mud on the Walls
An exhibit of works by Ben Behunin
Salt Lake City – Pioneer Theatre Company’s Loge Gallery presents “Vertical Earth: Mud on the Walls,” an exhibit of artworks by local potter and artist Ben Behunin, March 23 – April 7, 2012.
Behunin attended Ricks College and the University of Utah, and was apprentice to German potter Irene Adeler, in Germany. He has been working as a full-time potter since 1996. He is also the author of The Niederbipp Trilogy, a series of books about a Quaker potter in Pennsylvania. Behunin lives and works in Salt Lake City.
The exhibit can be experienced on the mezzanine level of the Roy W. and Elizabeth E. Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre through the run of the PTC’s production of the comedy Laughing Stock by Charles Morey. The gallery is open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday for the general public and before and after performances for ticket holders.
