Utah Landscape Painters: Lake, Baxter & Rigby
Paintings by local artists
Salt Lake City – Pioneer Theatre Company’s Loge Gallery presents “Utah Landscape Painters: Lake, Baxter & Rigby,” an exhibit of paintings by local artists Randall Lake, Ken Baxter and Larry Rigby. The three-man collection will be on display during PTC’s production of the prize-winning drama Clybourne Park, February 15 through March 2, 2013.
Randall Lake is a 21st century painter drawn to 19th century realism. He studied art abroad in Paris, and has an MFA from the University of Utah.
Ken Baxter has been painting since he was in eighth grade, and professionally since 1976. He has also taught art classes and workshops throughout the valley.
Larry Rigby has worked as everything from a member of a “Hot Shot Crew” fighting forest fires, to mortuary assistant, to founder of various biomedical companies. His art exhibits have been seen throughout Utah.
The exhibit can be experienced on the mezzanine level of the Roy W. and Elizabeth E. Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre. The gallery is open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday for the general public and before and after performances for ticket holders.
