Speaking a Beautiful Language
Paintings by Heather Barron
Salt Lake City – Pioneer Theatre Company’s Loge Gallery presents “Speaking a Beautiful Language,” an exhibit of paintings by local artist Heather Barron. The collection will be on display during PTC’s production of Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing, February 21 through March 8, 2014.
Born in Great Yartmouth, England, Barron has exhibited all over the country, recently in the Phillips Gallery (Salt Lake), Paul Scott Gallery (AZ), Springville Museum of Art, Coda Gallery (Park City and New York City—solo show), and the Ogden Gallery at the Station. Her work has also appeared in many publications, including Southwest Art, Décor Magazine, Salt Lake Magazine, Traditional Home, and the Deseret News.
The exhibit can be experienced on the mezzanine level of the Roy W. and Elizabeth E. Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre. The gallery is open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday for the general public and before and after performances for ticket holders.
