| JEFF BROOKS* (Stephano) last appeared at PTC as Doolittle in My Fair Lady. Broadway: Cogsworth inBeauty and the Beast, Nathan Detroit in Guys and Dolls, Spider Malloy in Nick and Nora, Pastey in Gypsywith Tyne Daly, the Bellhop in Lend Me a Tenor (Outer Critics’ Circle Award), Phil in Loose Ends with Kevin Kline, and Mickey in A History of the American Film. Off-Broadway: Title role in The Foreigner, Aloysius inSister Mary Ignatius Explains It All, George Spelvin inThe Actors’ Nightmare, multiple roles in Talk Radio, and Brassett in Where’s Charley?  | WARD CHAPMAN (Master) is a senior at the University of Utah in the Actor Training Program. He has appeared in University of Utah productions in Studio 115, including Death and the Maiden, Bus Stop,The Affair, and others, and in The Babcock as Macduff in Macbeth, Don John in Much Ado about Nothing, and Egeus/Entourage in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. He has also appeared as Heracles in Alcestis in the Classical Greek Theatre Festival and Brasset in Pinnacle Acting Company’s Charlie’s Aunt. Ward is thrilled to have been selected as an intern at PTC. |
| CHRISTOPHER GLADE* (Francisco) is very pleased to be returning to PTC for one of his favorite pieces in the Canon. He was last seen here in Othello. Other PTC credits include Amadeus, Macbeth and The Mystery of Edwin Drood. Other regional highlights comprise the EmCee in Cabaret (Egyptian Theatre Park City), the Shark in Swimming in the Shallows(SLAC), and several seasons of Saturday’s Voyeur(SLAC). As a musician, he played lead guitar for Plan-B Theatre’s Hedwig & the Angry Inch. Christopher has recently branched out as a director. Last season, he directed Reefer Madness! and The Great American Trailer Park Musical, both for Dark Horse Company Theatre. This, as is all his work, is for Charlotte Rose. | |
 | PAUL KIERNAN* (Caliban) appeared at Pioneer Theatre Company in The Diary of Anne Frank, Twelve Angry Men, Is He Dead?, Romeo & Juliet, Pride and Prejudice, and Amadeus, among others. At SLAC, Paul has been seen in Freedomland, The Memory of Water, The Beard of Avon, The Water Project andSeeing the Elephant. Other credits include: Romeo and Juliet (Friar Lawrence) with Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival; Julius Caesar (Brutus) with Salt Lake Shakespeare; Cyrano (Hangar Theatre, Ithaca). Other productions include Macbeth, The Tempest, As You Like It and Much Ado About Nothing with the Shakespeare Theatre of St. Louis. TV and film credits include Disney’s Luck of the Irish, The Maldonado Miracle, Ice Spiders and the HBO series From the Earth to the Moon. | JOHN PLUMPIS* (Trinculo) plays Christopher Plummer’s prompter in the soon to be releasedBarrymore, which premiered at the 2011 Toronto International Film Festival. Having toured the play in 1998, last winter they reunited for a Toronto engagement and the film. National tours: The Lion King, Laughter on the 23rd Floor. New York: The Actors’ Company Theatre (company member), Roundabout, Playwright’s Horizons, Primary Stages, Mint Theater. Regional: Shakespeare Theatre Company, Yale Rep, Portland Center Stage, Cleveland Playhouse, PlayMakers Rep, Missouri Rep, Utah Shakespeare Festival. Favorite roles include Telemachus in The Odyssey with Meat and Potato Theatre Co. and Billy inThe Cripple of Inishmaan at the U of U’s Studio 115. He has worked locally with Plan-B, SLAC, Salt Lake Shakespeare and Hale Centre Theatre. He also performed at Kingsbury Hall in 2009 with Bobby McFerrin. Film and TV credits include Disney’sMinutemen and Dadnapped, 17 Miracles and One Good Man. He holds a BFA in theatre from the U of U’s Actor Training Program. | JOHN LEONARD THOMPSON* (Antonio) returns to PTC after appearing here in Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead and King Lear, both directed by Charles Morey. He’s done tons of plays on (most recently, Butley) and off-Broadway (lately with The New Group and The Mint Theater), internationally (the national tours of Angels in America and The Graduate), and at many theatres across the United States including Syracuse Stage, Hartford Stage, Actors Theatre of Louisville (premieres: Jack and Jill,Reverse Transcription and Neighborhood 3: Requisition of Doom), Seattle Rep, Old Globe, Arena Stage and Berkeley Rep, where he appeared in the premiere of Sarah Ruhl’s In the Next Room, or The Vibrator Play. On film, work includes Guarding Tess,Killer, Soho, They Call It and Empty Chairs; on television: All My Children, Law & Order, Third Watch,Sesame Street, Summer Switch, The Shady Hill Kidnapping and A Woman Named Jackie. | |
| EMILY TRASK* (Miranda) is very happy to be making her Pioneer Theatre Company debut with The Tempest! No stranger to Utah, she has spent five seasons at the Utah Shakespeare Festival (Merchant of Venice, Hamlet, Henry V, The Secret Garden, The Matchmaker, and Great Expectations The Musical).Other theatres include The Milwaukee Repertory Theatre (Tartuffe, Yes. No. Maybe So…, Chaps! Armadale, Napoli Millionaria, Mary Stuart and A Christmas Carol beginning this November); Hope Summer Rep; Montana Shakespeare in the Parks; Next Act Theatre Co; Milwaukee Chamber Theatre; Yale Rep; Yale Cabaret; and can be seen at the Folger Theatre in D.C. this February in The Gaming Table. | KURT ZISCHKE* (Sebastian) Previously at Pioneer Theatre Company: Julius Caesar (Brutus), Richard III(Clarence), King Lear (Albany), The Ladies Man(Gustave Aubin), Sherlock Holmes & The West End Horror (George Bernard Shaw), 1776 ( John Adams),42nd Street (Pat Denning) and Camelot (King Arthur) where he met and married his Guinevere, Victoria Adams-Zischke. He has appeared in over 100 productions across the U.S., from Broadway to regional theatre, in roles ranging from Jack Lawson inRace to Henry Higgins in My Fair Lady. Film & TV:Law & Order: CI, All My Children, and many commercials and voiceovers. He is a graduate of Stanford University and The Neighborhood Playhouse, where he studied under Sanford Meisner. He is most proud of his 7-year-old daughter, Alexandra. |
