Content Advisory

SYNOPSIS: One of Shakespeare’s most charming comedies, Much Ado About Nothing features two sets of lovers, the young Hero and her suitor Claudio, and Beatrice and Benedick, two people who claim to thoroughly detest one another. But under the barbs they hurl at one another lie feelings that neither is even aware of—until circumstances bring them together to rescue their young friends.

LANGUAGE: None to speak of—a few of Shakespeare’s double entrendres.

SMOKING AND DRINKING: None.

VIOLENCE: None.

SEX: None. Hero is accused of being “wanton and a stale” but she is as pure as the driven snow.

FOR WHICH AUDIENCES?: Much Ado About Nothing is suitable for all audiences, including teenagers. Pre-teens may be bored by it.

RATING: If it were a movie, Much Ado About Nothing would be rated “PG.”
