AvilaANGELA AVILA (Ensemble) is beyond thrilled to be returning to the stage here at Pioneer Theatre Company after having been an ensemble member in Elf—The Musical earlier this season. Some favorite roles: Anne inLa Cage aux Folles, Little Red in Into the Woods, and Judith in Not the Messiah (regional premiere). Angela has worked with many theaters in town including The Grand and Hale Centre, and spent five years as a singer/dancer for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines. She thanks her husband for all his support.


JARON BARNEY (Swing) is a senior in the musical theatre program at the University of Utah. Jaron has recently been seen in the Pioneer Theatre Company Productions of Elf—The Musical (ensemble, u/s Buddy), Something’s Afoot (Clive) and A Christmas Carol: The Musical. University credits include: Melchior Gabor inSpring Awakening and George in She Loves Me. Thanks to Pioneer Theatre Company, UTheatre, and my family.
BatemanBILL BATEMAN* (Herman, Ensemble) is happily making his Pioneer Theatre Company debut with Sweet Charity. Broadway: Gypsy (with Patti LuPone); Hello, Dolly!(twice); Peter Pan (twice); and Bring Back Birdie (all four performances). BlairJJESSICA BLAIR* (Ensemble) is excited to be returning to Pioneer Theatre Company where she was last seen in A Christmas Carol: The Musical. Some of her other credits include: Hello, Dolly! (Drury Lane Oakbrook), A Year with Frog and Toad (Dorset Theatre Festival), Disney’s Beauty and the Beast and A Christmas Carol (Alabama Shakespeare Festival), and The Last Starfighter (NYMF). Jessica will be appearing in the upcoming production ofBrigadoon at The Goodman Theatre in Chicago this summer. She holds a B.F.A in Musical Theatre from The University of Michigan. GardnerACASHLEY GARDNER CARLSON (Ensemble) is appearing in her sixth show at PTC. Previous PTC credits: Miss Saigon, A Chorus Line, Annie, A Christmas Carol: The Musical and Les Misérables. Ashley was recently seen as Eliza Doolittle in Egyptian Theatre’s My Fair Lady and Catherine Simms in HCT’s The Foreigner. Next, Ashley will travel to the Alabama Shakespeare Festival in Montgomery to appear in Mary Poppins.


LENNY DANIEL* (Ensemble, Dance Captain, Asst. Director/Asst. Choreographer, u/s Daddy) Mr. Daniel has assisted Mrs. Azenberg on such great shows as A Christmas Carol: The Musical (PTC), Peter Pan (Alabama Shakespeare), Brigadoon, Carousel (Troika & NYU), West Side Story (Virginia Opera) and The Hunchback of Notre Dame (NYC workshop). He directed and choreographedMid-Life! The Crisis Musical at TexArts Theater, assistant directed The Wizard of Oz National Tour starring Mickey Rooney and Eartha Kitt and assistant choreographed GiGi(Papermill Playhouse). Mr. Daniel happily assisted Ann Reinking and performed in Here Lies Jenny starring Bebe Neuwirth (NYC & SF). Performing credits include: Broadway: Cats–Final Company, The Wizard of Oz.  GattaRICHARD GATTA* (Ensemble) most recently served as the Assistant Resident Choreographer for Billy Elliot the Musical, touring in the United States, Canada and Brazil. In 2005, Richard performed with the International Asia tour of Grease the Musical, which was featured at the 2007 Macau International Music Festival in China. He also performed in the National Tours of Fiddler on the Roof,The Pajama Game and numerous regional productions across the country. Richard is the Artistic Adviser for the Northeast Ballet Co., the resident ballet company of Proctors Theater in Schenectady, NY. He serves as the Assistant Director for their annual Nutcracker and has performed as guest artist in the roles of Nutcracker, Snow Prince and the Cavalier. www.richardgatta.com

ALEXANDRA HICKEN (Swing) is thrilled to return to PTC! She is a senior in the Musical Theatre Program at the University of Utah. Her recent credits include A Christmas Carol: The Musical at PTC, Serena in Legally Blonde: The Musical, and Hodel in Fiddler on the Roof(Starlight Summer Stock). DAVID GUY HOLMES (Ensemble) returns to PTC after A Christmas Carol: The Musical, Rent and In the Heights. David just returned to land after playing Hertz in Rock of Ages with Norwegian Cruise Lines. NelsonBBRIAN NELSON (Ensemble) grew up in the small town of Tridell, UT (yes, that is a real place). He is currently studying “How to look good wearing tights as a male” at the University of Utah (BFA in Ballet). When not on stage or in rehearsal, Brian can be found on his couch eating Ben and Jerry’s while playing video games. He is thrilled to be joining PTC for Sweet Charity. Other theaters include: Utah Festival Opera, Utah Shakespeare Festival, and the Grand Theatre.
PellegrineADAM PELLEGRINE* (Ensemble, u/s Vittorio) Adam is extremely excited to return to Pioneer Theatre Company after appearing in A Christmas Carol: The Musical. You may recognize him as the husband from the Cuisinart Soupmaker commercial, or the non-speaking German Police Officer in the ill-fated ABC series PanAm, but most likely not. He has been seen nationally and internationally in the Broadway tours of Chicago and Urban Cowboy. His NYC credits include The Naked Dead (Cherry Lane),Nutcracker: Rated R (Theater for the New City), Jane Krakowski Live at Town Hall and as a rehearsal assistant for Twyla Tharp. He would like to give a huge thank you to Karen and Lenny for this opportunity and for having him back!
PelliniJOEL PELLINI (Ensemble) is grateful to be back at Pioneer Theatre Company for his second production, after playing Macy’s Santa/Ensemble in Elf—The Musical last December. He recently performed with Arizona Broadway Theatre (Seven Brides…), Arkansas Repertory Theatre (Pal Joey), and Westchester Broadway Theatre (Sound of Music). SchererJOHN SCHERER* (Oscar) starred in the Broadway and film versions of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s By Jeeves, written and directed by Sir Alan Ayckbourn. Other Broadway credits include Harold Prince’s LoveMusik,Sunset Boulevard and Funny Girl (Actors Fund Benefit). Other New York credits include The Most Happy Fella(NYC Opera), Out of This World (City Center) and A Tribute to Comden and Green at Carnegie Hall. Off-Broadway credits include Olympus on My Mind andDames at Sea. He won critical acclaim for his performance as George M! at the Goodspeed Opera House. He has played leading roles across the country in such regional theaters as the Kennedy Center, Arena Stage, Goodman Theater, Ahmanson Theater, Paper Mill Playhouse and many others. Television and film credits include Spinning Into Butter, The Shield, Crossing Jordan,Titus, Guiding Light and Law & Order (all three series). He is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University.
SchubergCAROL SCHUBERG* (Ensemble) is thrilled to be returning to Pioneer Theatre where she performed inFiddler on the Roof and How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. She received her BFA from the University of Utah and competed as a Ute gymnast at two National Championships. She has performed on Broadway in Meet Me in St. Louis, Off-Broadway inChess, in the National Tours of Cats, The Tap Dance Kid,Barnum, Gigi and regionally in A Chorus Line (Sheila),Bye Bye Birdie (Rosie) and George M! (Madame Grimaldi). She choreographed Last Dance (Manhattan’s York Theatre), A Celebration of Women in the Arts(Kennedy Center), segments for The Late Show with David Letterman and was assistant choreographer on the film of The Fantasticks and Sweet Charity (Istanbul Grand Opera).

SebouhianCARLY BLAKE SEBOUHIAN* (Ensemble) is thrilled to be here at PTC! She has taken time off from Phantom of the Opera on Broadway to come out here and perform inSweet Charity. Carly’s other New York credits include Fiorello! (City Center Encores!) and the workshop of An American in Paris. Regionally she has performed inMary Poppins (MUNY) and the world premiere of The Nutty Professor (TPAC) directed by the legendary Jerry Lewis. Carly trained as a ballet dancer at School of American Ballet in NYC and has performed with many notable ballet companies in New York.
WarsinskeMARZA WARSINSKE (Ursula, Ensemble) Marza is delighted to return to PTC having most recently appeared as Margaret in Much Ado About Nothing. Past stage credits include Vanda in Venus in Fur (SLAC), Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady (Lyric Light Opera) and Juliet inRomeo and Juliet (Bag & Baggage). She studied Musical Theatre at Weber State University and now divides her time between Portland and Los Angeles.
