Cast Bios

ANGELA CHATELAIN AVILA (Mary Lou) is beyond thrilled to be returning to the Pioneer Theatre Company stage after having been seen here as an ensemble member in The Rocky Horror Show (2014), Sweet Charity, Elf–The Musical and as a Silly Girl in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. She has performed for several theater companies in Utah including Salt Lake Acting Company, The Grand Theatre, and Hale Centre Theatre West Valley and Orem. Some of her favorite roles include The Narrator in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Elizabeth Benning in Young Frankenstein, Little Red in Into the Woods, Judith/Soprano Soloist in Not The Messiah, Anne in La Cage Aux Folles, and Asaka in Once On This Island. Thanks to Will for the constant love and support! Angela is a proud member of Actor’s Equity.

JESSICA BRADISH (Lee) is thrilled to be making her debut at Pioneer Theater Company. She’s originally from Des Moines, Iowa and received her BA in Musical Theater Performance From Wagner College in NYC. Past favorite roles include Rhetta in Pump Boys and Dinettes, Maggie in A Chorus Line, and Lucy in Jekyll and Hyde. She sends love and thanks to Ryan, Jacob and her family.

KARIS DANISH (Mickey) Past roles include: Crimes of the Heart at Triad Stage, One Man, Two Guvnors at the Repertory Theater of St Louis (Director Ed Stern), the world premiere of Hit-Lit by Robert Wuhl (Off-Broadway), the world premier of Tale of Two Cities (Dir. Warren Carlyle), Doubt (dir. Anne Kauffman); Smash at the Asolo Repertory Theater; White at Gulfshore Playhouse; The Gold in the 2015 NYMF, #MormonInChief New York Fringe Festival. Danish holds an M.F.A. from the FSU Asolo Conservatory and is also a Teaching Artist for the International Theater and Literacy Project and has traveled to Tanzania to teach workshops in playwriting and theater. Thankful for this opportunity.

ASHLIE ROBERSON (Mo) is absolutely thrilled to be making her Pioneer Theatre Company debut! Originally from Muscle Shoals, Alabama, she received a Bachelor of Music in vocal performance from the University of Alabama (Roll Tide!). Recent credits: National Tour: Titanic (Caroline) Regional: South Pacific (Nellie), Ring of Fire (June Carter), Smoke On The Mountain (Denise), and Pump Boys and Dinettes (Prudie). LINDSAY ZAROOGIAN (Rita) is a graduate from the SUNY Fredonia BFA Musical Theatre Program. Credits include: Let’s Misbehave: The Music and Lyrics of Cole Porter (Alice), Rent (Mimi), Fiddler on the Roof (Tzeitel), Marvelous Wonderettes (Missy), I Love You Because (Diana). She is a member of Thicket & Thistle and [By The Mummers] in NYC. Most recently she performed as McKenzie/The Fairy in T&T’s What’s Your Wish? at Fringe al Fresco and at the Access Theater.
