Artistic Staff Bios

SOPHIE MCINTOSH (Playwright) is a Brooklyn-based playwright whose work has previously been developed by the Chain Theatre, Boston Playwrights’ Theatre, The Bechdel Group, and the University of Notre Dame. She is a proud graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point (which she promises is a much nicer environment than the school depicted in this show) and will be joining Columbia University’s MFA Playwriting cohort this fall.


ALEXANDRA HARBOLD (Director) is Co-Founder and Co-Artistic Director of Flying Bobcat Theatrical Laboratory and Assistant Professor with the University of Utah’s Department of Theatre. Recent directing projects include Liminal, Storm Still, Ronald and Edith (The Fairy Story Society and Flying Bobcat), The Night Witches (U of U, livestream premiere), At the Bottom (Pinnacle Acting Company), Death of a Driver and The Wolves (Salt Lake Acting Company), and co-creating The Live Creature & Ethereal Things (Flying Bobcat with Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company). Previous work with PTC includes dramaturgy for Mary Stuart, The Lifespan of a Fact, Oslo, The Last Ship, An Inspector Calls, I Hate Hamlet, and Of Mice and Men. Future projects include a new collaboration with Ririe-Woodbury and directing The Sweet Science of Bruising.,


MARY P. COSTELLO (Production Stage Manager) has worked on over 60 productions during 11 seasons with PTC. Favorites include Sting’s The Last Ship, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, Les Misérables, In the Heights, Next to Normal, and Rent. Other stage management teams: Indiana Repertory Theatre, Connecticut Repertory Theatre, Boston Theatre Works, Grand Valley Shakespeare Festival, and the Utah Shakespeare Festival.
