
Shaina Runolfson
Company Assistant
Shaina comes to the Company Assistant role at Pioneer Theatre Company with a background that blends technical theatre, education, and administrative know-how. A graduate of Utah State University with a B.F.A. in Technical Theatre, she’s worked as a stage manager throughout Utah and Idaho. She then took the skills she learned the behind the stage, and worked as special education teacher for over a decade in both Granite and Salt Lake School Districts. Most recently, you might have seen her working as a ticket clerk right here at the PTC box office, or you may have spotted her working with Pioneer’s educational outreach program. This mix of many experiences means she’s just as comfortable wrangling spreadsheets as she is coordinating with coworkers, artists, and patrons.
When she’s not at the theatre, Shaina can usually be found at home with her two cats, tending to what might be slightly too many aquariums, or playing video games with her husband, Ben. Shaina loves being a part of the community, no matter the role. She is excited to be able to continue contributing to the community here through her new role as company assistant.
